Our goal is to incorporate the Southwestern and Georgetown local community in sustainable food production that increases knowledge of gardening and benefits local food banks through donations of fresh produce.

According to the National Weather Service (http://www.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KGTU.html), our garden got 9/10ths of an inch of rain between 3:55 and 5:55 AM this morning. Such a slow rain will hopefully help get those roots established for those who planted on Saturday, and will help get the soil moist for those who didn't. All of the individual plots ended up with mulch on them, so perhaps that 9/10ths will soak in and be held.
