Saturday, March 28th - Spring into the Garden!!

Alright, Spring Break has brought some rain, some sun, and a community garden that's yearning for helping hands. The squash have sent out a red alert that they need to get out of the greenhouse and into the ground. The melons, more temperamental than squash, are getting moody.

It's time to dig. Bob (Mathis) has begun planting the hillside, but if we have a lot of people chip in on Saturday it would go a long way toward getting the hillside and the community bed (the one with the black plastic covering it) planted in time to grow, grow, grow.

Please come and lend some of your time and energy this Saturday from 10:00 am to about 1:00 pm to make the plants happy. Come dig, come plant, or just come to check it all out. By the way, the pecan tree we planted has sprouted buds!
